Special:  How to change your username and password

If you use Internet Explorer 6 or higher to connect to the Internet through your Dial-up Networking connection, you can change the username and password from within Internet Options.  Internet Options contains the settings for Internet Explorer.  The following screenshots and text explain how to change the username and password for your Dial-up Networking connection through Internet Options.  Do the following:

Note:  If you change the username and password through the connection itself, Windows will not save the changes unless you connect.

Note:  Screen shots for Internet Explorer 4.x are quite different than those listed below.

Open Internet Explorer.

On the Toolbar, click Tools and select Internet Options from the menu.

The Internet Properties window appears.

Select the Connections tab.

If you have more than one Internet connection listed, highlight your desired connection.

To the right, click the Settings button.

The Connection to... screen appears.

Dial-up settings:

User name:  Enter your dial-up connection username with the domain tail @ispname.com on the end.

Password:  Enter your dial-up connection password.

Click the OK button to close the window.
