Do I Get A Personal Website Or FTP Folder With Your ISP?

Most ISPs include at least 25 MB of website/FTP space for you to use. That is a lot of web space.

Key Settings:

The FTP server or host address is users.acn.net
. Leave the directory box blank. You will be asked to logon when you try to connect. This will take you to your web folder where you put your website material. The login is your regular dial-up login like you use to connect to the Internet. The format is username@acn.net with your regular password.

The actual website address will be http://users.acn.net/username with your username for the last part. This is where your friends would go to see your website.

We have some helpful tutorial websites for both Macintosh & Windows PC systems that cover some of the key FTP programs as well as some personal website development tools such as FrontPage 2000, Adobe GoLive and DreamWeaver. Please choose one of the following options if interested:

You can also e-mail websupport@acn.net to get additional web/ftp setup help. We can't debug or write scripts for you but we can make sure that your web/ftp folder is functional and we can show you the basics of accessing that folder.
