Apple Remote Access (ARA) - For Mac Classic 8.5 - 9.2

Reinstall Apple Remote Access (ARA):

Remember: This is a last resort AFTER resetting the Preferences, described here.

You may also want to reinstall TCP/IP.  Click here for help.

 

Insert the Mac OS 8.5 or Mac OS 9.x CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

Double-click the Mac OS Install icon.

 

Click the Continue button.

 

Click the Select button.

 

Click the Continue button.

 

Click the Continue button to agree to the Software License Agreement.

 

The following screen appears.  Click the Agree button to accept the Software License Agreement.

 

Click the Customize button.

 

Uncheck all boxes except for the Apple Remote Access box.

Then click the Start button.

 

The following screen appears to make sure you really want to do this. 

Click the Continue button to start the installation of Apple Remote Access..

 

When finished, you may also want to reinstall TCP/IP.  Click here for help.
