  Can't Make Changes To A Program Such As TCP, Remote Access, PPP?

Many utilities such as MacTCP, OT/TCP, PPP, Remote Access, etc., can be "locked down" so that you can't make changes.

These screenshots show Remote Access, but the idea is the same for TCP, PPP, Modem, MacTCP, etc.

If you can't make changes to a program then click the Edit menu and choose User Mode.

 

Select Administration mode but do NOT set a password if you can avoid that. Click OK.

 

You can now see the Remote Access window in "Administrative mode". 

Make sure that all of the padlock icons are unlocked like they are in the picture below.
