Macintosh Extensions Manager

If your Control Panels menu does not have Modem, TCP, PPP or Remote Access dialer listed, then you may need to make sure that they are both present and enabled in the Extensions Manager.  It is easy to do.

On the Toolbar, click the Apple icon and select Control Panels and Extensions Manager from the frop-down menus.

The Extensions Manager window is shown below.

Click the blue arrow next to Control Panels to expand the Control Panels folder.

Note: There may also be a "Control Panels (Disabled)" that lists disabled extensions.
You need to be in the normal Control Panels folder.

Make sure that there is a checkmark or X turning "on" the the following Extensions:

Modem Modem
TCP/IP TCP/IP
Remote Access or PPP Remote Access or PPP
