Creating additional folders:

A folder is used for storing e-mails.  For example, your Inbox stores new and undeleted e-mail while your Outbox stores e-mail waiting to be sent.  You can create new folders to hold specific types of e-mail.  You can even enable Outlook Express to automatically filter and place those emails in the folders you create when the e-mail arrives.  For information on filtering, click the 'Message filters' link above.

The main Outlook Express window is shown below.

 

To create a new folder, click the "New" button and select Folder from the list, as shown below.

 

The folder appears in the left-hand list.  Type the name you would like to give the folder.

The new folder has now been added to the list.

You can enable Outlook Express to automatically filter and place those emails in the folders you create when the e-mail arrives.  For information on filtering, click here.
