Incoming Mail Server = Follows this format: mail.ispname.com (or .net) with your ISP's name substituted for "ispname.com (or .net)".

Outgoing Mail Server = Follows this format: mail.ispname.com (or .net) with your ISP's name substituted for "ispname.com (or .net)".

SMTP Authentication (e-mail username) is required to send e-mail.

 

  Editing an existing e-mail account:

To edit an existing e-mail account, do the following:

In the Personalities pane, highlight the Personality you'd like to edit.

Click the Edit Personality button.

 

The Personalities section of the Settings window appears.

Personality Name  =  Ensure you have the correct personality selected.

Username  =  Enter your e-mail username (everything before the @). Mail Server  =  Incoming Server The Incoming (POP3) mail server usually follows this format:  mail.ispname.com (or .net).  Replace the "ispname.com (or .net)" with your ISP's name.

Real Name  =  Enter your name.
SMTP Server  =  Outgoing Server The Outgoing (SMTP) mail server usually follows this format: mail.ispname.com (or .net).  Replace the "ispname.com (or .net)" with your ISP's name.

Enabling SMTP Authentication:

We require you provide a username and password to send mail on our servers.  This is known as SMTP authentication.  If you do not enable SMTP authentication, you will not be able to send e-mail.

Check the box Allow authorization.

 

In the left-hand column, highlight Personality Extras.

Mail Protocol  =  Ensure you have the option POP selected.
Authentication  =  Ensure you have the option Passwords selected.

Click the OK button to close the window.
