  Disable PC-cillin Antivirus:

E-mail is the most common way in which computer viruses are spread, so you should typically have automatic e-mail scanning enabled.  E-mail scanning applies to programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape, Eudora, Pegasus, etc.  E-mail attachments, html files, etc. will be scanned automatically.  If you are having problems with an e-mail program, turn off PC-cillin Antivirus to ensure PC-cillin Antivirus is not the culprit.

Note:  Disabling the PC-cillin Control Center will disable not only the automatic e-mail scanning but all of PC-cillin's protection.  To disable just the e-mail protection, click here.

Disabling PC-cillin Antivirus is quite simple.  Do the following:

In the bottom, right-hand corner of your Desktop is the System Tray and, within it, the PC-cillin Antivirus icon.

Right click the PC-cillin Antivirus icon and in the menu uncheck the option Real-time Scan.
