Opera 6 & 7 with BrowseBlast:

BrowseBlast works in conjunction with the proxy settings in your browser.  However, BrowseBlast does NOT configure these settings automatically in Opera.  You must configure Opera's settings manually yourself.

Important Note for Opera:

BrowseBlast does NOT configure these settings automatically in Opera.  You must configure Opera's settings manually yourself.

Compatibility with other software:

Client for Microsoft Networks must be installed for BrowseBlast to function properly.

BrowseBlast will interfere with ProxyWatch and GlobalSafe.  They cannot be used together.

Below is the Toolbar of Opera 7; however, BrowseBlast will work with any version of Opera.

To configure BrowseBlast manually in Opera, click on File and select Preferences from the drop-down menu.

The Preferences window opens:

Highlight Network.

To the right, click Proxy servers.

The Proxy servers window appears:

Place a check in the box HTTP.

In the first box, IP address, enter 127.0.0.1.

In the second box, Port, enter 5500.

If you have any local addresses you access, it may be faster to not use BrowseBlast.  You can bypass BrowseBlast by entering these addresses in the space provided.  To bypass BrowseBlast, follow these steps:

    1.  Place a check in the box Do not use proxy on the addresses below.
    2.  Enter the web addresses you'd like BrowseBlast to bypass.

Note:  the addresses entered below are just examples.  They may not be local to you.

Click OK when finished.
