  ProxyWatch - Proxy Protection Software for Microsoft Windows

  Enabling/Disabling and Configuring ProxyWatch:

There are two ways to access ProxyWatch.

1.  You can access it through the Programs folder in the Start menu.
2.  You can also access it by browsing your hard drive.

To access ProxyWatch through Programs, do the following:

On the Desktop, click the Start button and select Programs -> ProxyWatch folder -> ProxyWatch from the menus.

In the ProxyWatch folder, you'll see two icons:  ProxyWatch and a Matchstick.

Click the ProxyWatch icon to launch the application.  Click here to continue the tutorial.

 

If ProxyWatch is not listed in the Programs folder, do the following:

On the Desktop, double click My Computer.

 

The My Computer window opens.

Double click the your main hard drive (normally the C: drive).

 

Within the C: drive, locate and open the Program Files folder.

 

Within the Program Files folder, locate and open the ProxyWatch folder.

 

In the ProxyWatch folder, you'll see two programs:  ProxyWatch and a Uninstall.exe.

Double click the ProxyWatch icon to launch the application.

 

The ProxyWatch screen opens.

In order to configure ProxyWatch, you must first enter the default password.

Note:  Passwords are case-sensitive.  Ensure your Caps Lock is NOT enabled.

Once the password is entered correctly, all four icons will become active.

 

As long as the password is entered, you can enable/disable ProxyWatch.

To enable/disable the program, click the circular, green button.

 

To ensure the program is configured properly or to change a password, do the following:

On the Toolbar, click Proxy and select Configuration from the drop-down menu.

 

You can also click on the Lock button to access the configuration window.

 

 

Either method will open the Proxy Configuration window.

Note the two sections:  Password and Proxy Server.

Password  =  On the left side you can change the password required to enable/disable ProxyWatch.  Simple enter a new password and confirm it.  Click the Apply button when finished.

Proxy Server  =  On the right side, you should see an IP address or a name address and a port number.

IP Address or Valid DNS  =  enter the name address of the proxy server.
Port  =  enter the port number.

Click the OK button when finished.

 

Click the Yes button to Save new Proxy Configuration and to close the window.

ProxyWatch is now configured.

Closed any other open windows.
