  Configuring a profile for JabberWanna:

Before you're able to chat with friends, you'll need to create a new IM account.  This tutorial shows how to do this.

After installing Jabberwana, the following window appears:  Connection.

Username  =  enter a username for you IM account.

Note:  Jabberwana will alert you if the username you've chosen is already taken.  Keep in mind a few alternates.

Password  =  enter a password for the new IM account.

Important:  passwords are case-sensitive.  Ensure your Caps Lock is NOT enabled.

Server  =  enter the name address of the IM server.  It follows this format:  im.ispname.com.
Port  =  keep the default port of 5222.

Click OK when finished.

 

You now have a new account and your ready to add contacts to your contact list.  Click here to view a tutorial on how to add buddies to your contact list.
