  Chatting with a buddy in myJabber:

Chatting with a buddy is a very simple process.  Follow these steps:

In your list of Contacts, double click the name of the user with whom you'd like to chat.  In this example I selected 'username'.

 

A window similar to the following will appear:

Note the two frames.  In the bottom frame, type the message you'd like to send, and press the Enter key.

 

The buddy can then respond to your message.

Anything the two of you type will appear in the top frame.
