  Configuring a profile for our Instant Messenger:

In order to chat online with your buddies, you'll need to configure a profile and create an IM account.  The following screenshot shows how to do this.  This tutorial shows how to create a new account.

Immediately after installing our Instant Messenger, the following window appears:

Note:  only the fields in red need to be completed.  Other fields are optional.

Login Name  =  enter the IM username you'd like to use.
Note:  our Instant Messenger will notify you if the IM username is already in use.  Keep in mind a few alternate usernames.
First Name  =  enter your first name.
Last Name  =  enter your last name.
Nickname  =  enter a nickname by which you'd like to be known.
Email  =  enter your e-mail address.

Password  =  enter a password for the account.

Important:  passwords are case-sensitive.  Ensure your Caps Lock is NOT enabled.

Resource  =  this should be set to ISP IM, where ISP is the name of your Internet Service Provider.

Server  =  enter the name address of the IM server.  It follows this format:  im.ispname.com.

Check the box Add to the User Directory.

Click the New Account button.
