  Adding a contact/buddy in Rhymbox:

To chat with your friends, you'll need to add them to your contact list.  To do this you can click the link Add someone to your contact list, or on the Toolbar, click Actions and select Add a contact from the menu.

Click either link.    

 

The Find or Add a Contact window appears.

If I don't know the address of the person I wish to add, I can select I want to search form someone.

Service  =  select your ISP's User Directory from the menu..

Click Next to continue.

 

Enter the information you do know about the contact you wish to add.

Click Search to continue.

 

If the contact appears, select it and click Close.

 

You've now found the person, you'll need to get his/her authorization to add the info to your contact list.

Click Finish.

 

If the person adds you to their contact list you'll receive a message similar to the following.

Click OK.

 

The contact now appears in your list of contacts.
