  Chatting with your buddies with Rhymbox:

To chat with someone in your Contacts list, click on there name.  In this example, I clicked on 'SEllen'.

Note:  your contacts must be online to chat with you.

 

A window similar to the following appears:

Note the two large white areas within the window.  The top area or chat area shows the text you've sent and the text any of your contacts have sent you.  The lower area contains the text you're typing or are ready to send.

Enter what you'd like to send and click the Send button.
