  Chatting with friends with Rival 3:

To chat with a friend, do the following:

Click on the friend with whom you'd like to chat.

 

A window similar to the following appears.

Note the two fields.

In the lower field, enter the message you'd like to send and click the Enter key.

 

After click the Enter key, your message appears in the upper window.

Any message your friend sends appears in the upper window as well.
