  Adding a contact/buddy to your contact list in TipicIM:

To chat with your friends, you'll need to add them to your contact list.  To do this you can click the link Add someone to your contact list, or click the button Add user.

Click Add someone to your contact list.

    

 

The Find or Add a Contact window appears.

Since I know the address of the contact I wish to add, I selected I already know the person's instant messaging address.

Network  =  select Jabber from the menu.
Username  =  enter the IM address of the contact you wish to add.

Click Next to continue.

 

TipicIM will send an authorization request to the contact.  That contact can choose to add you to his list or not.

Click Finish.

 

When online, your buddies will appear in your Contacts list.
