On the Toolbar, click the Settings button as shown below.

The TipicIM Settings window appears.

In the left-hand column, highlight Appearance.

You can change the layout of the main TipicIM window.  You can also have incoming messages pop up automatically.

In the left-hand column, highlight Auto-away.

When enabled, TipicIM will alert your buddies if you've been away from your computer for a specified amount of time.

In the left-hand column, highlight Blocking.

Occasionally you come across someone who is annoying or even offensive.  You can add these people to your blocked list.  This way you will not receive any messages from them.

In the left-hand column, highlight Emoticons.

Emoticons are icons that you can add to your messages for emphasis or just for fun.

In the left-hand column, highlight Privacy.

When people request to be added to your contact list, TipicIM can ask you if you'd like them added, add them automatically, etc.

In the left-hand column, highlight Profile.

You can edit/remove your profile and change your password here.

In the left-hand column, highlight Sound.

When enabled, TipicIM can play sounds when a message arrives, when a contact comes online, or goes offline.
