  Adding a contact to your roster in wxSkabber:

To add a contact to your Friends list, follow these steps:

Towards the bottom, right-hand corner of the window, click the Add JID (Jabber Identification) button.

 

The Add JID window appears.

Jabber ID  =  enter the IM address of your contact.  It follows this format:  username@im.ispname.com.
Name  =  enter the persons name or nickname.
Reason  =  enter a reason why your adding his/her JID.
Group  =  select a group for your new contact.

Click the Send button.

 

The new contact now appears in your Friends list; however, you must wait for him to accept the request before you're able to chat.  For this reason there is a question mark next to his name.

 

If the contact accepts your request, you'll receive a window similar to the one below.

Click OK.
