Actiontec 1520-4 — DSL Modem for Microsoft Windows

  PPPoE Configuration for the Actiontec 1520-4 DSL Modem:

To bring up the Actiontec configuration interface do the following:

Open your browser.

Address:  Enter the gateway address http://192.168.0.1.

Click the Enter key.

 

Set Up / Configuration:

In the left-hand column, click the Non-Windows Setup link.

 

A new screen appears.

Scroll down to the ISP Protocol section.

Select the option PPPoE.

ISP Username  =  If your ISP provided you with a username, enter it in the field provided.  If not, leave this field blank.
ISP Password  =  If your ISP provided you with a password, enter it in the field provided.  If not, leave this field blank.

 

Scroll down to the IP Configuration section.

Select the option Static.

IP  =  Enter the IP address assigned to you by your Internet service provider.

 

Scroll down to the DNS Configuration section.

Select the option Static.

Primary DNS  =  Enter the preferred DNS address of 209.210.176.8.
Secondary DNS  =  Enter the alternate DNS address of 209.210.176.9.

Click the Save and Restart button.

 

A new screen appears.

Click the Save and Restart button.

 

That's it.  The router has been configured for PPPoE mode.  You're ready to surf the Internet.
