  Configure a PPPoE Connection for the Gnet DSL Modem for Windows 2000/XP:

Auracom and Interhop both use the GNet router to connect to the Internet.  The easiest way to configure an Internet connection for the GNet router is by running the New Connection Wizard.  This only works for Windows 2000 and XP.  If you have any other version of Windows, configure the router through the Web interface.  The following screenshots show how to configure the connection for a GNet router for Windows 2000/XP via the New Connection Wizard.  Do the following:

On the Desktop, click the Start button and select Control Panel from the menu.

 

The Control Panel appears.

Double click the Network Connections icon.

 

The Network Connections window appears.

Double click the New Connection Wizard icon.

 

The New Connection Wizard begins.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

Select the option Connect to the Internet.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

Select the option Set up my connection manually.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

Select the option Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

ISP Name  =  Give the connection a distinctive name i.e., the name of your ISP.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

Create this connection for:  Select the option that suits you best.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

User name  =  Enter the username provided by your ISP.
Password  =  Enter the password provided by your ISP.
Confirm password  =  Re-enter the password.

Select the next two options to your liking.

Click the Next button to continue.

 

You're done with the initial configuration.

Click the Finish button to close the wizard.

Click here to edit the configuration.
