  Editing an existing FTP account:

To edit an existing FTP account, do the following:

On the Toolbar, click Tools and select Site Manager from the menu.

 

The Site Manager appears.

Highlight the desired site and click the Edit button.

 

The Site Options - "Your Site" window opens.

In the left-hand column, highlight Host Info.

Host name  =  Verify that the correct server address has been entered.  It follows this format:  users.ispname.com.
UserID  =  Verify that the correct dial-up username has been entered and the you've appended the domain tail to the end of it.  It follows this format:  username@ispname.com.
Password  =  Enter the password you use to connect to the Internet.

Important:  Passwords are case-sensitive.  Ensure your Caps Lock key is DISabled.

Select the option Save password.

 

In the left-hand column, highlight Startup.

Startup transfer mode  =  Towards the middle right, ensure that you have Auto detect selected.  This way you won't have to select each file type manually.

 

In the left-hand column, highlight Advanced.

Server type  =  Verify that you've selected the option FTP.
Host type  =  Set this option to Automatic Detect.

You can leave the rest of the settings as their defaults.

Click the OK button to save any changes and to close the window.

 

We return to the Site Manager window.

You can click the Connect button to begin your session or the Close button to close the window.
