  Connecting and transferring files:

After creating your FTP account, you'll want to connect to Web space and transfer your files to your space.

Note:  The main page for your Web space must be named either index.html or default.html.

To connect, click the Connect button.

 

The FTP Site Profile Manager appears.

Highlight the site to which you'd like to connect and click the Connect button.

 

FTP Voyager connects to the site.

You have both a Remote Directory and a Local Directory.

Remote Directory  =  Contains the folder for your site but is on our server (remote).
Local Directory  =  Contains the files for your site but is on your computer (local).

Download  =  To download files from your Web space, simply drag and drop files from the Remote Directory to the Local Directory.
Upload  =  To upload files to your Web space, simply drag and drop files from the Local Directory to the Remote Directory.

 

To disconnect, click the Disconnect button.
