Enabling/disabling various options in Incredimail Xe:

There are various options in Incredimail to which you may want to pay particular attention.

On the Toolbar, click Tools and select Options from the menu.

Select the General tab.

Enabling/disabling E-mail auto-check and Auto-disconnect:

E-mail auto-check:

When enabled, Incredimail will check automatically for e-mail at specified intervals.  This way you won't have to manually check.  It will do it while you're surfing or writing an e-mail.

To enable this, place a check in the box Check for new messages every ? minutes.

Auto-disconnect:

When enabled, Incredimail will disconnect automatically from the Internet after sending and receiving e-mail.  If you enable this and don't fully realize what it does, it can be extremely annoying.  Don't enable this feature if you want to browse the Internet as well as send and receive e-mail.

To enable this, place a check in the box Hang up after sending and receiving.

Select the Security tab.

Security options:

Most viruses are propagated through e-mail.  People receive them and unknowingly send them to people in their address books.  Incredimail can help eliminate the viruses you receive and unknowingly send.

Incoming message:  many viruses come as scripts.  You can disable these scripts while you read a preview of each message you receive.

Check the box Disable scripts when loading message in preview pane.

Outgoing message:  once received and read, viruses will send out e-mails to unsuspecting contacts in your address book.  You can enable Incredimail to warn you if e-mails are being sent.

Check the box Warn me whenever a silent message is about to be sent.

Select the Advanced tab.
