  Creating new newsgroups accounts:

Newsgroups are discussion groups.  You connect to a server and download them like e-mail.  You can read and even respond to what you read by posting your opinion on the subject.  Newsgroups cover every subject imaginable.  No matter what your interests, you'll find a newsgroups discussion on the subject.

To create a newsgroups account, do the following:

On the Toolbar, click Mail and select Newsgroups from the menu.

 

The Subscribe window appears.

Click New to create the new newsgroups account.

 

The New account wizard launches.

Highlight News.

Click Next to continue.

 

Real name  =  enter your name here.

E-mail address  =  enter your e-mail address.

Click Next to continue.

 

Incoming server  =  this is your news server.  Enter the name address of the news server:  news.ispname.com.

Outgoing server  =  this is your outgoing mail server:  mail.ispname.com.

Click Finish to complete the wizard.

 

You now have an account created.  You'll still need to edit it to have it completely configured.  Click here to learn how to edit an account.

Click OK to exit the Subscribe window.
