On the left side of your WebMail, you can see several folders.  By default, only the Inbox is listed.

You can add extra folders to help sort your e-mail.  In this example, we've added 3 folders:

    Work
Click here for help adding extra folders.

You can also add 3 specialized folders, built in to the WebMail.  These are:
    Draft
    Sent
    Deleted
Click here for help adding these specialized folders.

The rest of this tutorial shows how to add these folders.

Creating your own folders:

You can add extra folders to help sort your e-mail.  In this example, we've added 3 folders:
    Family
    Jokes
    Work

Note: Folders work well with Message Filters to automatically sort your e-mail as it arrives.

To create a folder in your WebMail, follow these simple steps:

Click the Folders button at the top left of the screen.

Or, click the down-arrow for the Options and Styles menu, as shown below.  Then click Folders.

The My Folders tool opens in a new window.

Create a Folder

Folder Name  =  give the new folder a name.

You can create the new folder as a subfolder of another folder.  For example, you might create a folder called "Grandma" as a subfolder of the "Family" folder.

Click the Create button to make the folder.  The folder will appear in the long box on the right.

Modify a Folder

Select the folder you want to modify from the long box on the right.

Then you can rename or delete the folder.

Close the window when finished.

You now have a new folder.  Create as many as you need.  There are plenty to go around.

Creating special folders: Draft, Sent, Deleted:

You can also add specialized 3 specialized folders, built in to the WebMail.  These are:

Draft Folder - Save a copy of an e-mail message you are composing.

Sent Folder - Save a copy of all e-mail messages as you send them.

Deleted Folder - Save a copy of all e-mail messages that you delete.

Draft folder:

The Draft Folder is created the first time you attempt to save a draft of an e-mail.

When composing a new e-mail message, you can save a copy of the message you are typing.

Click the Save Draft button at the top of the New Message window.

You can find the message in the Draft Folder when you want to finish typing the message.

Sent & Deleted Folders:

The Sent Folder saves a copy of all e-mail messages as you send them, so that you can refer to them later or so that you can maintain a record of your correspondence.

The Deleted Folder saves a copy of all e-mail messages that you delete, just in case you didn't really want to delete them.

Both of these folders are created through the Preferences window.

Click the down-arrow for the Options and Styles menu, as shown below.  Then click Preferences.

The User Preferences opens in a new window.

Mail Sending Options is the first section.

In the option to "Save a copy of outgoing mail in Sent folder", select Yes.

Delete Options is the third section down.

For the option to "Delete messages", select Move to Deleted folder.

You can also place a check-mark for Confirm delete messages.

Click the Save button just under the Delete Options section.

Note: The Sent folder and the Delete folder do not appear automatically in your Folder List.
They will appear the next time you Send or Delete a message.

After clicking the Save button, you can return to your WebMail window.

The Sent folder and Delete folder will appear the next time you send or delete a message.
