  Configuring ZoneAlarm Firewall:

Occasionally, ZoneAlarm won't allow an application you're trying to run access to the Internet.  You'll need to grant this application access before the program will function properly.  For example, if Internet Explorer won't display Websites, ZoneAlarm may be blocking Internet Explorer's access.  You'll need to verify if ZoneAlarm is the culprit.  Do the following:

Open ZoneAlarm and select the Program Control tab.

Program Control monitors your Internet-related applications (browsers, e-mail clients, etc.).  When these programs try to access the Internet, ZoneAlarm either allows them access or not.

To the right, select the Programs tab.

Check if Internet Explorer (or the application you're trying to use) is listed.  If it's not listed, click the Add button.

Browse to and highlight the Internet Explorer executable file (or the application you're trying to use).

Click the Open button.

The application now appears in the list of programs.

Click on each question mark and grant the application the level of access you'll allow.
