  Chatting with buddies in PSI:

To chat with one of your friends, do the following:

Double click the nickname of the person with whom you would like to chat.

 

A chat window similar to the following will appear.

In the lowest field, type the message you'd like to send your friend.

Hit the Enter key.

 

Your message now appears in the middle (largest) field.

Your friend can now see what you've typed.

 

He can respond be typing typing a message.
